Point72, L.P. has an opening for a Data Engineer II, MI Data in New York, NY. This position is hybrid; can work up to 2 days per week from home.Build solutions for processing big and unstructured data sets. Develop big data processing pipelines for new data sources containing structured and unstructured data. Build platform infrastructure using Hadoop technologies. Build and support visualization and exploration capabilities around our big data sets. Maintain knowledge of new technology developments and conduct proof of concepts to evaluate new technologiesMust possess at least a master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer or related role. Must also possess the following: at least 2 years of experience working with big and unstructured data sets at scale in the Cloud; at least 2 years of experience with programming using Python or Java; at least 1 year of experience architecting solutions and integrating components; and at least 1 year of experience with collaborative development on a team managing software development though the full software development lifecycle.
Minimum Salary: 216,000 Maximum Salary: 220,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
