May leverage Machine Learning (ML) or statistical modeling techniques to develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware or software and drive innovation. Develop, evaluate, and deploy software, algorithms, systems, or other data to improve products, system performance, quality, data management, and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote digital transformation, which may include Artificial Intelligence or Automation. Promote growth and development, direct projects, and manage performance of Data, Applied Science, Research, or Machine Learning professionals. Provide input regarding technical or business decisions at a strategic level and as necessary to define areas of significant impact across the business and involving the cross-collaboration of researchers and development teams. Requires domestic and international travel up to 50%. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more but less than 100%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.Requirements:• Education: Bachelor’s foreign equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, employer will accept an additional 24 months of data analysis and/or data management experience.• Experience: 48 months of data analysis and/or data management experience.• Specific Skills: Experience must include 24 months of experience in each of the following: Machine Learning; AI; Python; Big data modeling and analysis; Statistics; Team Management; and Stakeholder Management.Any suitable combination of education, experience, or training is acceptable.Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (V8013368.a), in New York, NY, is $253,305 to $283,305 per year.Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
