Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in New York, NY. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Drive design and architecture, rationalizing business requirements and mentoring less experienced developers
- Significant interaction with senior developers across other work streams as the client integrates an increasingly complex product set
Requirements:
- Well versed in software design focused around a cross-language REST based n-tier architecture and executed using agile methodologies (Scrum, Test Driven Development, unit/integration testing, pair programming, etc.)
- Strong software engineer with experience in one of C# or Java
- Unit testing, TDD, BDD, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of design patterns and best practices
- Familiarity with concepts such as dependency injection and domain modeling
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies
- Experience of messaging-based design and n-tier architecture
Desired skills:
- Experiences in Python
- Knowledge of derivatives products (primarily options, also variance swaps) and trade lifecycle
Pay Range: $67.29 - $75.29
