JPMorgan Chase Business Manager - Executive Director in New York, New York

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area? The Business Management function optimizes business performance by focusing on outcomes, influencing key strategic initiatives, and driving their execution. We act as trusted advisors to the Business Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.

As a Business Manager - Executive Director within the Chief Data Office, you will have the opportunity to lead key initiatives that span a wide range of topics, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of our business. You will be responsible for leading initiatives, analyzing data, preparing senior leadership updates, managing financial commitments, and optimizing the operating model and communication strategy with our global CDO's. This role requires a self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. A strong data, analytics, or product background is important.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and effectively respond to executive ad-hoc requests for business and financial analysis, project management, and presentation development, delivering accurate and insightful information

  • Support strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership

  • Assist and communicate with CDO Leadership Team in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation, and manage day-to-day items while attending meetings on behalf of the CDO

  • Work with high degree of independence, be self-motivated and tenacious

  • Support the attainment of business outcomes, execution of work through close collaboration and alignment with department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance, HR, Audit)

  • Act as trusted advisor to the Business head, and represents the Group on various forums

  • Manage business performance and coordinate business reviews, expense management, vendor management

  • Set up Business Process: Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business (e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues compliance, operational, resiliency)

  • Represent the business in respective internal/external working groups and the creation of high-quality communications materials for use at senior levels of the Firm

  • Prepare various executive management reports to support business operations and decision making.

  • Develop and bring valuable insights and analysis to the leadership team, enabling data-driven decision making. Partner with communications team on strategy, leadership messages, forums, and speaking events.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/ Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or other related area

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts into salient facts creating c-suite quality visualizations and presentations.

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint with excellent presentation and data visualization skills

  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and quantitative skills

  • Ability to drive reporting and projects individually and collaboratively with cross-organizational teams.

  • Previous product knowledge and/or prior Business Management experience in a growth initiative

  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills to manage competing demands.

  • Ability to present to senior and global business heads through excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions.

  • Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with high degree of independence.

  • Able to both define and deliver a strategic agenda across multiple groups. Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - must have the ability to build strong working relationships key stakeholders

  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and comfortable to operate without specific mandate

  • Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information

  • Strong data, analytics or product background is important.

  • Expert at roadmap creation and execution, aligning and leading business operations to strategic organizational goals
