Amazon Business Analyst, AWS Global Executive Marketing in New York, New York

Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Executive Marketing team is seeking an experienced, results-driven Business Analyst to own reporting, measurement, and analysis across our portfolio of high-visibility programs.

Executive programs are complex, and we rely on deep analysis of both common and non-standard KPIs to understand and communicate business impact. We are looking for a highly analytical individual with experience at an enterprise level identifying trends and insights across a matrixed organization. A successful candidate will be well-versed in marketing analysis best practice, while able to navigate and advocate for the nuances of audiences and programs that operate outside standard marketing funnels. This role requires a proven track record in developing reporting mechanisms; a deep understanding of common third-party analytics platforms; analytical skills to identify risks and opportunities; and interpersonal and project management skills to deliver in a fast-paced environment.

This role sits within the Global Executive Marketing Campaign Operations team. You will work closely with Campaign Operations and Program Managers; global tooling and technology teams, and Business Operations to align impact reporting across the broader AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with Program Managers, Campaign Operations Managers, our global Business Operations partners, and key marketing stakeholders to understand and influence business goals.

  • Develop scalable and self-serve data solutions to automate and accelerate business reporting processes, support team projects, and enhance data accuracy.

  • Track and analyze key metrics like Marketing Sourced Pipeline, Annualized Revenue, and Opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize queries and tools in existing projects, enhance existing marketing measurement, and design new KPIs to best measure marketing effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with global measurement and business operations teams to influence measurement strategies for executive programs across AWS.

  • Conduct investigative deep dives to understand trends in customer engagement across (and sometimes beyond) the executive landscape to identify business risks and opportunities.

  • Propose and prioritize changes to reporting, including the creation or collection of new metrics, presentation of data, and ownership of ongoing maintenance.

  • Continuously learn new systems and industry best practices to design new studies and build new tools.

  • Proactively explain the ‘why’ in addition to the ‘what’ while educating business stakeholders on business insights.

  • Educate Campaign and Program Managers on best practices to enable consistent reporting; document standard operating procedures and drive adoption of standard mechanisms.

  • Contribute to narrative documents by providing data analysis and insights that illuminate marketing impact and customer behavior, enhancing strategic decision-making and storytelling in marketing initiatives.
