Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Banker for its New York, NY location.Duties: Provide strategic advice to Citi’s corporate clients relating to shareholder activism, raid defense, proxy solicitations, and shareholder-related matters including governance and investor relations / engagement. Lead various live projects working across industries, partnering with sector specialists within Citi’s Investment Banking team to assess potential threats and responses to hedge fund activism and unsolicited mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Use corporate finance knowledge and skills to create presentations and materials to deliver balanced and thoughtful advice to publicly traded clients. Review and coordinate the analysis and work of analysts and associates in the shareholder advisory team to ensure efficient effective client delivery. Lead live engagements internally and externally and drive various marketing initiatives. Develop and coordinate relationships with clients and third-party advisors and experts (e.g., outside counsel, proxy solicitors, public / investor relations firms) to deliver coordinated strategic advice. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, in Investment Banking, or a related occupation specifically advising clients across multiple areas of capital markets including areas of expertise such as M&A (contested and negotiated), corporate divestitures, spin-offs / split-offs, governance, and various shareholder-related matters. Four (4) years of experience must include: Providing advisory services on corporate finance topics across multiple areas of capital markets including shareholder advisory, initial public offerings, equity financing, activism, and solicited / unsolicited mergers and acquisitions; Performing financial analysis, financial modelling, valuation, and strategic advisory; Drafting situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations and overseeing work performed by analysts and associates assigned to projects; Leading shareholder advisory workstreams in the context of capital markets transactions and strategic advisory, driving business development efforts, and contributing to franchise growth; and Analyzing and interpreting financial statements, equity research, economic data, credit rating reports, and accounting and business diligence in support of client transactions and advisory assignments. 40 hrs./wk.
