Job Description

The PXP Associate Producer (brand) supports the clients and ideals of their creative lead agency, all under the vision of their Head of Production. Directly reports to an SVP/Group EP or VP EP, depending on creative agency department needs & structure.

The Associate Producer position will provide deadline driven support to all disciplines of production as they develop expertise and learn about the role of a producer. The ideal candidate for this position will be eager to learn and open to supporting a variety of integrated projects that provide opportunities to absorb and experience the production process from brief to delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for supporting in all day-to-day aspects of production, learning how to scope and ballpark creative concepts, build detailed project schedules, manage project scope, research and secure production resources, quality control all deliverables, maintain project documentation and communicate with holistic project teams

  • Begin to demonstrate ability to produce projects on their own but also able to work in a support role, sometimes on concurrent projects, to ensure error free, on time and on budget productions all while meeting or exceeding creative objectives and expectations

  • Responsible for 'managing up' to more senior producers (EP, Senior Producer, possibly Producer) and proactively seeking support/guidance when needed

  • Observe and learn the process of researching, identifying, selecting and negotiating production vendor partnerships (within The PXP Studio or external) based on both scope/budget/timeline of project and which partner is best suited to execute the creative vision

  • Responsible for supporting and participating in our efforts in cultivating a diverse, equal and inclusive culture of production within our work

  • Communicates proactively to Creative, Account Services, Business Affairs and Media partners on all aspects of the production including milestones, deliverables and due dates to keep the production process flowing smoothly

  • Begins to achieve a basic understanding of Talent 101 definitions, and how they apply to the job

  • Observe and begin to build critical relationships with both internal and external production industry that will eventually enable them to maintain the agency's reputation and standard of excellence

  • Stays on top of industry trends, craft-makers, techniques, directors, photographers, and new technologies and utilizes expertise and passion for production to inspire and educate the Department and Agency overall in an effort to elevate the creative product

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred

  • 1-2 Years prior experience in production at an agency, production company or similar environment desirable

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment

  • Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail

  • Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $51,000 - $75,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
