Balticare Aftermarket Sales Engineer in New York, New York

POSITION PURPOSE

The Outside Sales Engineer for Aftermarket will report to the Aftermarket Development Manager - North America. This role is responsible for growing aftermarket sales by providing onsite inspections and reports to property owners and contractors. The outside sales engineer will be responsible for developing customer relationships through education and training. This role will require working with the sales teams in the Balticare office and with BAC employees at all levels of the organization. The assigned location for this position will be the NYC Sales Office, and there will be regular travel to jobsites and customer offices.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs equipment inspections, generates inspection reports and parts proposals.
  • Preparation of quotes for replacement parts and upgrades of existing equipment.
  • Performs equipment startups, prepares commissioning reports and conducts customer training.
  • Conducts customer relationship activities such as onsite meetings, technical and training presentations.
  • Manages Sales Projects
  • Coordinates with customers for all project management (scheduling, fabrication, delivery) related issues.
  • Resolve issues and disputes with customers and vendors in a timely manner
  • Manages Warranty Issues
  • Prepares quotes and enters orders with vendors for third party products.
  • Manages third party orders, including scheduling, confirmation of delivery of goods and invoicing.
NATURE & SCOPE

Position reports to the Aftermarket Development Manager and works closely with the Aftermarket sales engineers to achieve the volume and PGM results for the office.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Trade or Technical School is required, some college or a two- or four-year college degree is a plus.
  • 3 Years' minimum experience in the HVAC trade.
  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on jobsites and in an office environment.
  • Must be organized with strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Possesses natural mechanical acumen.
  • Working knowledge of various controls, programming, troubleshooting and testing.
  • Enjoys interacting with different types of individuals, including contractors, property owners and other business professionals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information clearly and properly describe problems and solutions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and prioritize by importance. A broad background and general knowledge of technical, administrative, and financial areas is preferred.
  • A fundamental understanding of related industry terms and business processes a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
