American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers powerful backing and financial support to business clients of all sizes. The GCS Small Business Marketing team strives to provide our customers with the world’s best customer experience every day to ensure that we are essential partners to our clients and win the full share of their business.

The Card Product Growth Marketing team within GCS develops integrated marketing strategies across channels delivering customer value through meaningful interactions at every touch to drive high levels of product satisfaction and long-term engagement among our customers.

This Senior Manager-Marketing - Upgrade and Employee Card Marketing will lead three important small business card product marketing programs: Charge Product Upgrade Strategy, Employee Card Acquisition, and Account Manager Acquisition. These programs are fundamental to the business and are proven levers for deepening customer relationships and accelerating revenue. This person will provide strategic oversight of the programs across multiple channels using data-driven insights to grow the business and better meet the needs of our small business customers. This person will partner cross functionally across various teams including Channel Marketers, Product Marketers, Product Management, Risk, Analytics and Finance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver comprehensive, integrated, and innovative marketing programs to deepen and profitably grow customer relationships

  • Develop test and learn curriculum to drive organic growth through targeted treatments

  • Partner closely with internal teams to understand product portfolio strategies and customer behavior and identify and address opportunities to support and grow the programs

  • Manage, evaluate and optimize email and direct mail communications, offers, and triggers

  • Manage customer and program insights and share standard methodologies across digital, dialogic, direct marketing channels

  • Create compelling value driven communications to drive consideration, conversion, and engagement - and ensure consistency in messaging across all customer touchpoints.

  • Lead 2 Analysts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience

  • Data driven, strategic thinker with a growth mindset and track record of developing customer first marketing strategies that unlock growth

  • Ability to manage several inter-related pieces of complex processes

  • Thought leader with proven success in leveraging customer insights and innovative thinking to deliver best in class customer experiences

  • Exceptional relationship skills – a person who proactively collaborates, seeks input and understands others’ goals to bring out the best for the business

  • Highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Results driver with exceptional sense of accountability and ownership

  • Effective working in ‘white space’ and comfortable with ambiguity

  • Able to package information and tell a story to different levels of audiences

  • Positive energy and enthusiasm with a “can-do” attitude and strong sense of humor

Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
