About the role

As aCBREProject Management Director, you'llbe responsible forproject management services withinanassigned financial services accountand will lead the project management team to achievestrategic businessobjectives.

This is not a remote role; the Project Management Director will be required to report to the client's New York City office a minimum of 4 days per week.

This job is part of the Project Management function. Theyare responsible forthe management of projects from initiation through completion.

Whatyou’lldo

Direct all phases of the process for clients including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution, and ensure that contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeouts areaccurate,timely, and compliant.

Develop new business growth and maintain existing business relationships.

Maintain full responsibility for the financial performance of market, program, and client accounts.

Identify project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.

Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers thatimpactdepartmental and cross-functional performance.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans.

Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.

Identify and address multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

• A solid understanding of the real estate industry in the areas of financial analysis, project management, construction, ethical practices, business operations, marketing, and business development.

• Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.

• Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

• Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

• Expert interpersonal skills and an advanced inquisitive and growth mindset.

• Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Project Manager Commercial Interiors position is $175,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Project Manager Commercial Interiors position is $210,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
