Job Title: Asst Dir-Software EngineerLocation: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007, USA (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)Duties: Plan, design, and utilize programming languages and related technologies to write new code or modify existing code for software enhancements and/or development of new products and features. Test, troubleshoot, and/or debug software programs during product development and/or post implementation. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software. Lead other engineers in the performance of technical tasks. Interact with internal users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Work with other development team leads and software architects on technical and architectural direction of projects. Work with cross functional, globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts to meet business requirements. Design, develop, and maintain Angular UI Components for shared libraries and module specific usage. Design, develop, and maintain domain models and model behavior code using C# .NET. Design, develop, and maintain REST Services for integration with other Moody’s services. Debug existing application code using Visual Studio and database IDE’s for troubleshooting and resolving software defects and production raised incidents. Inspect, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on software code to enhance quality, adherence to standards, and maintainability. Foster collaboration and ensure software excellence. Offer round-the-clock availability to address and resolve critical issues, incidents, and emergencies. Ensure seamless operations, troubleshoot, and provide assistance to maintain optimal system functionality and user experience. Supervise and mentor interns during their internship program. Revamp and modernize legacy codebases using the latest technologies and best practices. Improve system performance, maintainability, and scalability while preserving existing functionality and data integrity. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.). Domestic and international travel required approximately 10% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, QA Engineer, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Full term of experience must include the following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; working with Core Java, SQL/PLSQL, JavaScript, Html, CSS, Angular, and automated testing tools, including Junit; and using build tools and version control systems, including GIT. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $142,563 - $184,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
