This position requires a high level of communication. Your daily responsibilities as a Weld Lead will include: Provide daily work direction to welding personnel Detailed understanding of welding processes knowledge of AWS D1.1 code and shop capabilities Coordinate orders with management and purchasing departments for welding / shop supplies Ensure QC processes and procedures are adhered to Ability to accurately read / interpret blueprints and weld symbols Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair logs - hoists and weld machines Coordinate equipment repairs as needed Isolved approvals Preparing employee performance review's Documenting any work place related injuries and communicating with Safety Director What are we looking for in a Weld Lead candidate? High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1+ years of welding experience Weld diploma or AAS degree Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, crawl, and be on your feet 8+ hours per work day Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable Many tasks include their own work and / or the reviews of work of others in the department.
