Description
We are currently accepting applications for Tool Maker to join our team in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
Summary:
The Tool Maker is responsible for the final precision grinding and assembly of Isometric's micron precision molds and fixtures.
Essential Functions:
Analyze mold specifications from CAD models and blueprints to plan optimal build approach.
Perform the final grinding and assembly of molds ensuring proper fit and function.
Collaborate with the CNC, EDM and Polishing groups to ensure the componentry is manufactured to the specifications required for proper final fit, assembly, function, and attainment of molded product specifications.
Work with process engineering technicians to troubleshoot and optimize part molding performance and adherence to product specifications following first off and subsequent mold tests.
Troubleshoot mold related problems as they occur and perform repairs and modifications necessary to ensure molds are in efficient operating condition and mold product to specification.
Perform mold maintenance to ensure proper function.
Perform work in an efficient and timely manner to ensure that customer timelines are achieved.
Mentor apprentice tool Makers as directed by management.
Maintain proper documentation as required.
Comply with company quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Education and/or Experience
Associate/Technical degree in machine tooling or similar discipline OR at least five (5) or more years of experience in high precision mold building.
Excellent grinding skills and ability to consistently grind to one tenth accuracy
In-depth problem-solving capabilities
Very high attention to detail is required
