POSITION: Director of Information Technology

SUPERVISOR: Vice President of Human Resources and Information Technology/Director of Information Services

SALARY: Starting at $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

Dynamic, hands-on Director of Information Technology to provide technical expertise and leadership in the areas of network, systems, and cybersecurity, as well as project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our information technology systems and ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.

Duties:

The Director is responsible for general oversight under the guidance of senior leadership. The Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the healthcare center's core infrastructure equipment and systems. The role involves ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of in-house voice, data, video, wired and wireless network infrastructure. This role may require availability after hours as needed for network/system maintenance, emergencies, or to respond to cybersecurity incidents.

Manage and coordinate all IT-related matters including systems integration, data, wireless communications, mobile technology, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software.

Oversee the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software for company and clinical operations, ensuring all systems are compliant with health industry regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.

Develop and implement network maintenance and growth plans. Oversee the administration of the company's all networks.

Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of the IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.

Manage IT staff, under the guidance of senior management which includes hiring, training, guidance, and discipline. Ensure high team morale through effective communication and timely issue resolution.

Conduct routine system audits to ensure compliance with the organization's established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

Maintain knowledge of evolving trends in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity and apply new technologies where applicable.

Create and manage a disaster recovery plan and respond to all cybersecurity breaches.

Develop a technical process improvement framework to optimize systems, networks, and infrastructure for better efficiency and performance.

Oversee the development and enhancement of systems, networks, and integrating new systems with those existing.

Ensure that networks, systems, and data availability meet business continuity requirements.

Monitor and analyze system logs to identify potential issues with computer systems, networks, and applications.

Spearhead troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, incident response, and disaster recovery, providing expert support when necessary.

Collaborate with senior management as it pertains to relationship management of vendors and support staff that provide hardware, software, system, network, cybersecurity, and solutions.

Oversee large scale IT projects such as upgrades and deployments, where necessary. Represent the IT department in coordination with project leaders from other departments and divisions.

Evaluate potential cybersecurity breaches, coordinate incident response, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure clear communication with all parties.

Assist senior management with budgetary planning for the IT department.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

This role requires the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to explore and adopt new technologies that enhance institutional efficiency. The incumbent must demonstrate strong technical skills in network and systems engineering, along with an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

The role should be carried out according to the highest ethical and moral standards, in adherence to the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable laws. The incumbent must adhere to the facility's confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI/ePHI) of residents and employees, as necessary to perform job duties.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, PMP) are desirable.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on network, systems, and cybersecurity; experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successful IT project implementation.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage IT personnel.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organization.

Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to anticipate and address potential IT issues before they arise.
