The role joining Global Technology Services is part of the Service Division Managed Network and Collaboration Services (MNCS) in the sub-division Digital Collaboration Services (DCS).

The role is primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to global sales, architects and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists sales in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the implementation of solutions and services.

The primary responsibility of the Architect is to consult with the client and work with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for complex solutions that address the clients’ needs. They provide multi-technology consulting services on all aspects of application software, infrastructure, and related technology components.

You bring the knowledge of a product or service to the required crafting of a technical solution(s) in support of NTT clients. They have a strong understanding of the Organisation thereby ensuring that their crafted solution(s) meet client requirements.

You will have the opportunity to design solutions with some of the most innovative global organizations, technologies, accelerating the digital transformation business objectives and outcomes.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales and solutions teams to identify customer requirements and develop technical proposals and solutions.

  • Lead technical discussions with customers to understand their business and technical requirements and provide guidance and recommendations on technology solutions.

  • Design and develop technical architecture blueprints for collaboration technology solutions such as Cisco Webex and Microsoft Teams, including high-level and detailed design documents, technology roadmaps, and implementation plans.

  • Support the sales teams in presenting an architecture solution to clients with a focus on cost savings or uncovering other client growth opportunities. This will require an ability to discover and analyse the client’s current architecture, platforms, and operating models.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in collaboration technologies and provide thought leadership to customers and the team.

  • Work with the delivery team to ensure successful implementation and deployment of collaboration technology solutions.

  • Participate in knowledge sharing and training activities to improve team skills and capabilities.

  • Utilize value selling methodologies to demonstrate the value of collaboration technology solutions to customers and prospects.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer business challenges and develop use cases to showcase how collaboration technology solutions can address those challenges and deliver tangible business outcomes.

  • Ensure that any form of design or bill of materials is aligned to the product portfolio and is constructed to meet both technical requirements but also considers customer budget and commercial value.

  • Ensures that any statement of work/proposed solution customer document output is completed to a sufficient level of quality to ensure the project meets the customer needs, but also can be costed to ensure successful and profitable delivery.

  • Provide enablement and support to other architects within the organization to build their skills and capabilities in collaboration technology solutions.

  • Support comprehensive and compelling RFP, RFI and RFQ in a timely, accurate manner, ensuring alignment to our strategic objectives and values.

  • Develop and maintain best practices, methodologies, and standards for collaboration technology solutions to ensure consistency and quality across pipeline opportunities.

  • Participate in governance processes to ensure assurance and compliance across pipeline opportunities, including reviewing proposals and technical designs for adherence to standards and requirements.

  • Develop and deliver product demonstrations to customers and prospects to showcase the capabilities and benefits of collaboration technology solutions.

  • Work closely with product development teams to provide feedback on customer needs and industry trends to inform product roadmap decisions.

Knowledge, skills, and attributes

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft: Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Stream, Graph API, Entra, Office, Certified Microsoft Devices, Licensing.

  • Desirable Knowledge of Microsoft: Power Platform, Dynamics, Windows, Purview, Intune, Defender. Azure

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco: Unified Communications Manager, Webex Shared Calling, Webex Dedicated Instance, Webex Contact Center, Collaboration Endpoints, Licensing.

  • Good knowledge on SIP protocol and Session Border Controllers AudioCodes, Oracle, Ribbon, Cisco as well as telco integrations for PSTN.

  • Detailed knowledge of Managed Services service and delivery models, including cloud, global, and distributed delivery models.

Desirable working relationships and knowledge for the following vendors/products: Genesys, Nice, Luware, ASC, Dubber, Poly, Logi, Crestron, Yealink, Jabra, Spectralink, AudioCodes, Oracle, Ribbon, Algo.

  • Proven experience in enterprise architecture and pre-sales activities, with a focus on collaboration, communications, productivity, workplace technology solutions.

  • Strong technical skills and experience in designing and implementing collaboration technology solutions.

  • Desirable skills and experience with identity protection, information protection, threat protection, security management, and data governance features in Microsoft 365

  • Understanding of Network Topology and in particular SD-WAN/MPLS architecture, networking concepts and tools, such as VPN, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Commence etc.

  • Preferable Microsoft 365 Certification: MS700 - Teams Administrator Associate

  • Desirable Microsoft 365 Certifications: MS-500, MS-900, MS-203, MS-100, MS-101

  • Any Certification and working knowledge of ITIL, Service Management and Integration, Automation Artificial Intelligence and Analytics

Experience required:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and pre-sales activities, with a focus on collaboration technologies from Microsoft and Cisco

  • Demonstratable experience designing, implementing, managing Microsoft Teams or Cisco Webex cloud solutions with telephony integrations.

  • Experience selling managed services and a strong understanding of managed services concepts, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service delivery, and service management.

  • Experience working in a Telecoms Partner or managed service provider delivering voice and video-based enterprise global solutions and services.
