As a Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of IFF by driving revenue, deploying strategies, and serving as a trusted business partner to our highest-value customers. The individual we are seeking will develop, implement & execute the strategy to grow profitable sales and support overall business objectives of the corporation.
Location can be flexible in the US but must be near an IFF office location.
Job Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Demonstrated history of building strong customer relationships in B2B Food segment
Successful track record of transforming concepts into sustainable business growth
Understand customer processing conditions & work on problem solving / feasible solutions with application teams to enable our solutions to be deployed in production
Ability to convert market trends/customer needs into knowledge & opportunities
Experience in managing Channel partners
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical engineering or Processing, related fields with a Business Management education as added advantage.
Willingness to travel more than 50% of working business days.
Ability to interact at multiple levels in customer organizations, including Senior Management and Operations.
Open-minded – Able to perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus as demands change; Aptitude for conflict management
Self-motivated – Initiates appropriate actions and follows through without prompting or close supervision.
Collaborative – work closely with multiple internal stakeholders – Regional sales, Marketing, application teams to leverage and execute growth plans
Strong organizational skills with a systematic approach to be successful in food processing industry
Strong interpersonal skills & networking capability
Proven negotiation skills
7+ years of total work experience in Sales/Business Development roles with some experience in sales of Food additive products (Eg. Enzymes, Texturant systems).
