Private, non-profit located in the Newark Delaware area is looking to hire an Accounts Payable Administrator with proven basic understanding of GAAP and billing. The responsibilities for this role will consist of processing vendor invoices, verifying and updating vendor accounts, processing general ledger reconciliations, assisting with payment runs, ensure compliance with financial policies and GAAP, analyzing accounts payable transactions for accuracy, preparing documents for audits, and resolving accounts payable discrepancies. Ideally, we are seeking an individual who can perform day to day financial transactions utilizing their knowledge of best practices in accounting and bookkeeping.

Primary Responsibilities

· Full-cycle Accounts Payable

· Matching/Coding invoices

· Processing invoices

· Issuing 1099s

· Data entry of invoices

· Assisting the AP Manager with accounting projects

· Assisting with cutting checks

· Updating payable information in a client database

Requirements

The ideal Accounts Payable Administrator will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Accounts Payable Administrator role include and are not limited to:

· 5+ years of A/P experience

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel

· Knowledge of CAMS a plus

· High attention to detail

· Any accounting software experience preferred
