Minimum Education and Experience | Applicants must have a doctorate in Biology, Biomedical/Biochemical Engineering, Microbiology or a related field. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and statistical software. Applicants must have a working knowledge of fermentation culture. Applicants should have practical experience with measuring metabolites from cell culture, and other types of quality testing assays. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Must have extensive experience in cell culture and fermentation techniques as well as metabolic and quality testing. Other necessary skills such as microscopy, and use of ELISA assays and/or in vivo studies are preferred, but not required. Applicants must be experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Applicants will also be expected to aid Dr. Parekkadan with day-to-day tasks in the laboratory, proofreading of manuscripts and proposals, and reviewing papers that are within his/her area of expertise. |
