HOW YOU WILL DO IT Purpose Statement: The System Engineer role has responsibility for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing scalable infrastructure solutions. The delivery of these sustainable and reliable technology solutions is accomplished through close collaboration with other IT personnel, business partners and vendors. Innovation, continuous improvement, and automation are core competencies valued in this role.Key Job Accountabilities: Experience with on-premise, hosted and cloud infrastructure Design and implement infrastructure technologies, solutions, and services. Core technologies: Active Directory, Citrix, GCP, Azure, AWS, and server operating systems. Beneficial knowledge: VMware, Kubernetes, CommVault, Cisco UCS, and Netapp. Monitor system performance and capacity, and troubleshoot system issues. Proficient use, general understanding or ability to learn scripting and automation tools to improve efficiencies or effectiveness of the Systems Engineer role: Powershell, Ansible, Terraform, and other infrastructure as code. Undertakes or supervises complex installations and de-installations of systems or components. Identifies and describes the design goals for systems, products, services and devices.
