Job Summary and Qualifications

This System Engineer's role is to provide systems engineering services, consulting, and support of customers in a company environment with national reach. These responsibilities will require the candidate to be a Subject Matter Expert across systems technologies, services, and additional related components (as listed for this position). The candidate must be capable of delivering on and supporting solutions that meet Client and Partner network requirements and exceed required service levels.

This position will interact daily with Clients, Business Partners, Vendors, and CereCore team members delivering system engineering support solutions to meet client and internal business requirements. Strong customer service, written and oral communications skills for working with project managers, leadership, internal customers, and external clients will be required. Support methodology and problem management skills are required to effectively meet CereCore business objectives and exceed client expectations.

  • Support of Server/Storage/AD technologies and topologies

  • Support of integrations of new technologies within a large systems environment

  • Comprehension and understanding of end to end application flows

  • Assist senior Engineers in maintaining lifecycle of the infrastructure to include software and hardware device upgrades

  • Knowledge of Storage Area Network technology provisioning

  • Active Directory configuration, GPOs, testing, and troubleshooting of the AD environment

  • Citrix administration and troubleshooting

  • VMWare administration and troubleshooting

  • Adherence to systems standards, policies, and procedures that are documented and enterprise level network diagrams

  • Meet CereCore change management requirements ITIL Knowledge

  • Develop and keep documentation up to date Moderate travel (25%)

  • After hours work as required (Patching, On Call, system upgrades, etc…)

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Operating systems including Windows Server, VMware ESXi, and Linux.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory (DNS, GPO, Trusts)

  • Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting solutions to gather information and for automation of tasks

  • Exposure to multiple server platforms such as Intel and AMD-based processors.

  • Exposure to networking topologies and network protocols including LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, Cisco Switches, routers, DNS, DHCP, FTP, etc...

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair/replace components on all supported equipment as well.

  • Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.

  • Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.” General Security Knowledge.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in the technical space and perform root cause analysis.

  • Knowledge of VMWare vSphere 6.x, 7.x, 8.x.

  • Knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop, Virtual Apps and Desktops, or other up to date Citrix solutions for application publishing.

  • Understanding of Managed services and outsourcing.

Management Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in delivering technical services Required

  • 3+ years of experience in servicing external revenue-generating clients

  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in Healthcare related services Preferred

What qualifications you will need:

  • College Degree preferred

  • Technical Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco or other relevant technologies

  • Position may require 25% travel
