Hyatt Bar Attendant in NASHVILLE, Tennessee

Description:

The Barback works under the direction of the management team and will provide friendly and excellent service to every guest as well as keep the bar area clean and stocked at all times.

Duties & Functions:

  • ·Assist bartenders with the function and efficiency of the restaurant and bar

  • ·Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience

  • ·Ensure proper inventory of liquors, glassware, napkins, straws and garnishes

  • ·Remove trash and keep bar areas unobstructed, clean and organized

  • ·Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary

  • ·Stock and refill ice

  • ·Ensure proper stock of spirits, wines, and beer

  • ·Polish and stock glassware

  • ·Prepare, stock and replenish garnishes as needed

  • ·Perform opening and closing tasks as specified

  • ·Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards and guest relations and etiquette

  • ·Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items

  • ·Clear items when guests are finished and ensure tables are ready to receive arriving guests

  • ·Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property’s cash handling policy

  • ·Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the venue

  • ·All other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • ·At least one year of experience in a bar back role

  • ·Nightlife experience preferred

  • ·Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

  • ·Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
