Job Summary:

If you are highly organized with great attention to detail and a desire to engage our community on a wellbeing journey, then join Blue Zones Project as an Intern this Summer.

Essential Job Functions:

Event Support

• Coordinate with vendors, exhibitors, volunteers and stakeholders during event

• Capture event photos and share on social media platforms

• Manage event set up, tear down and follow-ups

• Track and report event key performance areas and identify items to work on for future events

• Maintain event supplies and prepare “go-bins”

Volunteer Support

• Recruit new volunteers and communicate volunteer opportunities

Project Management

• Recruit new volunteers and communicate volunteer agement

• Manage team event calendars and reporting

• Manage meetings (calendar requests) as needed

Administrative Support

• Maintain files and records within digital collaboration systems

• Assemble event collateral materials

• Order collateral materials

Specific Skills/ Attributes:

• Ability to work independently

• Strong relationship building skills; capable of working with internal and external teams and partners

• Experience coordinating events

• Familiarity with event registration software

• Demonstrate good organizational skills and manage time and priorities to meet deadlines

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment but remain appropriately detail-oriented

• Compelling verbal and written communications skills as it relates to inspiring volunteers to participate

• Available to work nights and weekends as needed

• Creative, collaborative, and responsible

• Energized by Blue Zones Project mission

Qualifications:

• Residents of Upper Napa Valley preferred. Position is onsite.

• Prior experience event planning, managing volunteers and/or committees, and office coordination

• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Salary:

• $16.00/hour
