The Data Platforms value-stream is accountable for enterprise data assets across the company including data & analytics platforms, data & analytics solutions governance, quality, recency, data interfaces, integration with external systems and advanced analytics capabilities. The Data Science, Process Excellence and Automation team is part of the Data Platforms value-stream and uses advanced technologies to automate as many business and IT processes as possible. This can include anything from simple task automation to complex decision making. We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Senior Technologist with expertise in utilizing process mining software, to join our Data Science, Process Excellence and Automation team. As a Senior Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging the capabilities of the process mining software to drive process optimization and automation initiatives for our clients. Your profound understanding of the software and process mining methodologies will be crucial in delivering valuable insights and improving operational efficiency for our clients' business processes.

A Day in the Life

In this fast- paced collaborative role you will:

  • Manage, maintain, and operate the process mining platform (upgrades, patches, fixes, testing where needed,monitor usage of licenses, manage user accounts, manage capacity).

  • Develop, document, and modify/configure systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, systems updates, systems testingand processes.

  • Establish and document system design, parameters, and formats, ensuring hardware and software systems' functionality, performance, and compatibility.

  • Coordinate and modify system parameters, including configurations for existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.

  • Apply various process mining algorithms to extract meaningful patterns and correlations from large datasets.

  • Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting hardware and software compliance and security standards.

  • Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests systems functionality to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

  • May act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions.

  • Create comprehensive process models using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) to visually represent complex processes, understand their structure, and facilitate discussions with business stakeholders.

  • Ensure data integrations and imports are of high quality and set/drive standards of data ingestion methods.

  • Proactively seek and pilot improvements to increase the value of process mining, e.g., new features such as object-oriented data, generative AI, other Machine Learning or process automation/action.

  • Leverage your programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Java) and scripting expertise to customize process mining workflows and integrate with other systems as needed.

  • Engages with business leaders to understand how strategies and data-driven changescan improve efficiencies and add value. Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level specialists; may manage projects / processes.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years of experience or Advanced Degree with minimum of 2 years in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.

  • Has practical knowledge of project management.

  • Has been responsible for entire projects or processes within job area; with a proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high quality results within defined timelines.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and process modeling within a process mining software.

  • Strong programming skills, with the ability to customize and extend software functionalities through scripting and API (Application Programming Interfaces) and SDKs (Software Development Kits) integrations.

  • Solid understanding of BPMN and process modeling techniques.

  • Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, R, Java) with experience in data manipulation and automation.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.Analyze complex process scenarios and offer innovative solutions to enhance overall platform and process efficiency.

  • Effectively communicate technical findings and process insights to non-technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in process mining

Nice to Have

Strongly Preferred:

  • Extensive hands-on experience using Celonis process mining software, with a proven track record of successful implementation projects.

  • Proficiency with process automation concepts and technologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree + experience in related field.

  • Previous Medtronic experience, or experience in the Med Tech industry.

  • Continuous learner with a passion for exploring new technologies and process optimization methodologies
