Abbott Manager Strategic Project Management in Mumbai, India

Project Management ensuring timely completion of Formulation Development (Generics, Differentiated Generics and Life Cycle Management) and successful product launch Facilitate Investment decision Budgeting of all projects across different scenarios To collate and provide adequate project information (for review, discussion and decision making at different governance bodies across EPD India Support the standard processes and system/tools to establish appropriate Portfolio Management within the regions; Drive Margin and Profitability project management across EPD India of the existing portfolio.

Core Job Responsibilities

Independently responsible for end-to-end project management activities: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing new projects, site transfer and tech transfer projects for Generics or Differentiated Generics India projects Coordinate with Finance, BD, Supply Chain costing for New Products and Life Cycle Management Projects. Liaise with cross-functional teams like RA, Medical, BD, IPR, QA, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth execution of the projects Prepare and Present Monthly Dashboards, status trackers, Departmental Presentations for senior management Responsible for timely completion of Project milestones by tracking Product development and Launch activities for India projects. Responsible for documenting and tracking minutes / Tracking all the above activities (#1, #2) Accountable for updating Planisware updates on India New Products Conduct regular project review meetings to monitor projects progress (Minutes of meeting, Regular Developmental updates, Project Timeline, Project Tracker) involving I&D stakeholder groups Manage Project Portfolio Risk through identification of early warning signals, assessment & on time escalation. Manage project data/information and provide periodic updates to project team and all stakeholders Closely work with I&D scientists (formulators and analysts) to manage and track their project requirements, roadblocks and bring it up to management attention (if applicable) Decision process facilitation, and application of (risk-based) decision / economic analysis to ensure high quality EPD Development investment decisions; Collate EPD Development recommendations (XXXX regions) for portfolio review and discussion at governance bodies; Responsible for project management of margin and profitability of existing products with close consultation with EPO and I&D teams Support the standard processes and system/tools to establish appropriate Portfolio Management within the regions;

Key Competency Requirement

  • Independently able to manage the relationship with Commercial/Business Development teams

  • Should be able to manage multiple stakeholders

  • Strong Coordination & Follow up with external and internal customers

  • Very Strong Communication Skills (Oral and Written)

  • Good understanding of financial concept

  • Strength in planning and prioritization

  • Adept at understanding commercial and development priorities

  • Experience in handling advanced project management tools and systems

Functional Skills:

Domain/Industry: Pharmaceutical Drug Development /Commercial/Project Management Knowledge of Regulatory Activities & QA Financial: IRR, NPV, ROI, Revenues Operations: Project Management, Contracting, SLAs, MSAs Through knowledge of MS Project and Planisware Through knowledge of MS Excel and MS Powerpoint Preferable Consulting/similar experience of 5-7 years

Education & experience:

Master in Pharmacy/ Bachelor in Pharmacy with an MBA

13 – 17 years
