Intuit Staff Technical Program Manager - Responsible AI in Mountain View, California

Overview

Intuit is seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Technical Program Manager to lead our Responsible AI (RAI) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Responsible AI processes and solutions that align with our RAI principles, ethical standards and compliance requirements. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving RAI initiatives, and ensuring adherence to principles of fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy and safety.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical program management with a focus on AI/ML, Compliance, Security, or related fields.

  • Preferred experience in leading initiatives related to AI ethics, fairness, or social impact.

  • Ability to rally teams behind your execution plan, communicate a clear story of challenges and opportunities, and align executive teams on program outcomes.

  • Ability to influence at all levels and without direct authority, lead end-to-end, and establish credibility, trust and build strong partnerships across organizations in delivering the best outcomes for complex programs, balancing both risk and velocity goals.

  • Outstanding communication skills appropriate for executive-level audiences, strong presentation skills and compelling storytelling abilities.

  • Solid understanding of software and model development lifecycle, tools, frameworks, and methodologies.

  • Motivated self-starter with an attention to detail and a proven ability to innovate under fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities in a matrix environment.

How you will lead

  • Develop and manage the strategic roadmap for the Responsible AI program and define Intuit-wide RAI operational standards, processes, and dashboards.

  • Ensure appropriate metrics are established and tracked with overall program status and risks reported out regularly to key stakeholders while managing any senior leader escalations and communicating proactively on a regular basis.

  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging best practices and creating/ documenting repeatable frameworks while incorporating feedback from stakeholders and staying abreast of emerging responsible AI practices and technologies.

  • Establish and enforce compliance by monitoring AI applications to ensure they are adhering to our established principles.

  • Foster a culture of ethical AI usage through training, workshops, and advocacy across the organization while serving as a subject matter expert and advisor on Responsible AI to senior management and other key stakeholders within the organization.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including security, legal, product managers, engineers, and data scientists driving towards risk-based outcomes
