Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer II in the San Francisco area to join one of the fastest growing companies, Databricks.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Operates company's internal data communications systems.

- Plans, designs and implements local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP).

- Supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches.

- Works on project implementation.

- Provides training and assists with proposal writing.

- Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.

- May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions.

- May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.

- Manage Databricks LAN, WAN and VPN approach by designing and implementing highly available, redundant, and low latency company campus networks.

Skills and Requirements

- 4-5 years with wireless/network experience

- Broad understanding of wireless fundamentals / general networking

- Knowledge of Aruba wireless

- Technical abilities to solve network problems

- Experience troubleshooting, enhancing security, building new offices, securing the network, evaluate current offices, solutions oriented, etc. null
