Danaher Corporation General Manager, ANZ in Mount Waverley, Australia

We are looking for a motivated and experienced General Manager to manage the overall organization with the objective of developing the business, which leads to achieving sustainable growth and profitability through value-added and innovative marketing activities within budgetary and resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

STRATEGY

  • Develop and implement strategies in order to ensure achievement of the SU strategic goals and financial targets

ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE

  • Develop and implement a best fit structure and organization including a strategic distribution network for ANZ in order to optimize the available resources

MARKETING AND PROMOTION

  • Develop market definition positioning in markets, marketing mix, pricing policies and communication concepts in order to achieve sales targets and profit objectives

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Monitor closely the business performance by BU in order to ensure achievement of the financial targets.

PROCESSES

  • Implement logical and transparent processes in order to allow for efficient and effective use of manpower and financial resources and support all ISO/QA as well GDPMDS procedures to maintain certification and improve effectiveness and efficiency of internal processes

COMMUNICATION

  • Ensure a regular and consistent top-down and bottom-up communication in order to allow employees at all levels to act along the same lines and directions and to be fully empowered

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT

  • Motivate people through performance management, compensation and incentives and developmental activities in order to retain and attract the best people and to secure succession within the organization

BUDGET AND COST CONTROL

  • Coordinate the budget process in order to achieve a set of agreed targets

OTHERS

  • Compliance to regulatory, international and company’s EHS requirement

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Degree with 10 years of Business Management experience of which 3 years as Head of Organization

  • High level strategic focus and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated business acumen.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic decision making and execution.
