The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard methodologies to improve our current services and technologies.
Role: Java Developer (Production Support)
10+ years of IT
Hybrid (Morris Plains (NJ), Saint Louis (MO), Austin (TX))
Roles/Responsibilities:
Perform root cause analysis resolves production issues and support the existing production systems. Perform detailed issue analysis backtrack the problem and suggest a solution for the problem to the CoE team
Support release of deliverables into production and perform on demand meetings with COE team and Business supporting issues encountered due to production changes.
Suggest fixes to the complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact to the business due to the issue.
Provide performance tuning at the functional level
Initiate extensive documentation for the production support process improvement
Answers escalated questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status and downtime procedures
Adopts, and implements Technical Support solutions for Transition & Steady State across departments with full competency.
Acts as a highly competent advisor to their manager, leads and team
Required:
This individual must be hands-on and strong in Java core.
Should have strong knowledge in spring boot
Should have strong knowledge in Database (Oracle or Mongo DB)
Should have Prod support knowledge and flexible to work in Prod support hours.
Good to have knowledge in AWS/OpenShift Platform
Good to have React JS, Post Gres skills.
Good to have Microservice knowledge.
Ability to communicate well with customer/business teams.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
