Some service and research activity may be expected. Qualifications Required/Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or terminal degree for Lecturers/Assistant Professors; MA/MS or BA/BS for Teaching Specialists, master's preferred. Candidate must have academic preparation appropriate to the specialized teaching field, and must have evidence of successful teaching as demonstrated by letters of recommendation from those knowledgeable about the candidate's teaching expertise and/or summaries of recent course evaluations. Though clear emphasis is on successful teaching, consideration will be given to scholarly attainment or other professional recognition or distinction in the teaching field.
