The Work

As a Cyber Systems Security Engineer (CSSE) within our CyRes team, you will:

-Apply technical expertise within an integrated performance team to plan, design, develop, validate, and verify cybersecurity solutions across the system lifecycle.

-Conduct cyber risk assessments, including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and proposing mitigation solutions.

-Evaluate design constraints, trade-offs, and detailed system and security designs in the cyber domain.

-Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, system architects, and developers to ensure robust cybersecurity solutions.

-Perform cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and software designs to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements.

-Utilize cybersecurity processes, methods, techniques, and tools, ensuring consistent application.

-Implement assessment and authorization activities as required by customers.

-Support proposals by contributing to technical volumes, developing cybersecurity estimates, and participating in Independent Technical Reviews (ITRs).

-Coordinate Cybersecurity Functional Metrics, including Productivity Metrics, to support cost estimates and staffing.

Please Note:

-This position requires a government security SECRET clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

-This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.

- This position can be located in either Moorestown or Mount Laurel, NJ.

Who You Are

You are a talented Cyber Systems Security Engineer with a passion for cybersecurity and a strong technical background. You thrive in collaborative environments and have experience in planning, designing, and validating cybersecurity solutions. Ideally, you currently hold an active Secret clearance and have familiarity with the Aegis portfolio of programs and systems.

A level 3 employee is typically mid-career and has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active SECRET security clearance, and ability to maintain the security clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering)

• 5+ years of technical systems engineering experience with DOD systems.

• DoD 8570 approved baseline certification for IAT Level II (IE CompTIA Security+, GSEC SSCP, CCNA-Security) or ability to achieve certification within 6 months.

• This position requires the ability to travel up to 10% to our customer sites throughout the U.S.

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to work with appreciable direction; and exercise sound judgement in determining technical objectives and approaches to meeting commitments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, Common Source Library (CSL), and Cyber Capability Develop & Integration

• Ability to provide status and communicate effectively with internal and external customers (e.g., Program Management, Customer Counterparts, and various Cyber Competencies).

• Ability to apply an adversarial mindset in developing and evaluating cybersecurity countermeasures

• Experience in designing, hardening, and implementing Windows, Linux, VM, and other Network devices.

• Experience administering system functions including security policies and account management of Microsoft Windows and Server as well as Linux/Unix-based systems

• Experience with system architecture and system design modeling tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
