What to Expect:
The Sales & Operations Planner will lead the Monthly Business Planning Process and is a key contributor to Plan to Execute end to end process in conjuction with DSP planners.
A day in the life:
Engage and collaborate with a team of skilled Demand Planners in order to continuously improve the quality of the demand signal
Ensure continuous alignment with Business expectations while meeting the agreed levels of performance in the market
Clearly define data requirements and metrics, working with teams to implement the entire data flow from capture to presentation and management
Dive deep into forecasting planning models to identify risks and opportunities and resolve constraints by negotiating across various owners
Lead and facilitate the preparation for Monthly Business Planning with reviews with Commercial Teams (CRM/Marketing/B2C channels/B2B/ Finance) to deliver an unbiased and unconstrained view of the demand to support operational planning and the Monthly Business Planner Process with a goal of achieving a recommendation or escalation.
Ensures full meeting preparation with planners and cross-functional teams with presentation of consolidated and accurate information along with well-articulated messaging to support and drive right discussion, decisions and actions
Ensures review of historical trends, research of demand drivers, comparison of forecast data, and development of statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
Oversee all Demand & Supply Planner related KPIs and metric review, trend analysis for Operational & Commercial Reviews (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Operational Reviews, Monthly Business Planning)
Supports Internal control assessments on Monthly Business Planning, Demand & Supply Planning logs and KPIs, inbound & inventory management and ensure action plans are closed on a timely basis.
Support market in the audit preparation phases.
Ensure a continuous improvement culture is developed and sustained
Fully understands and implements Nestle Continuous Excellence principles as a standard way of working.
Contributes to the Nespresso Competitive Planning solution by active and constructive participation in the Monthly Business Planning (MBP) and Dynamic Forecast (DF) processes.
Role Requirements
Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market.
Bachelor’s degree in Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance (business planning/Dynamic forecasting) or Mathematics, required.
Engineer or master’s degree level preferred.
Strong Analytical, statistical and communication skills
Experience on leading Monthly Business Planning / Sales & Operations process and negotiation with commercial functions
5+ years of relevant and successful operational experience at market / business level in Demand and Supply Planning (including in a Retail environment)
Forecasting & Inventory Management experience required
Knowledge in product portfolio management (type of demand, seasonality, lifecycle status, shelf-life)
Computer literate (Advanced Excel, Power point and reporting tools such as Power BI, any Business Intelligence)
Preliminary experience with a demand statistical tool is an asset (SAS, SAP/APO, OMP, etc.)
Good knowledge of supply chain KPIs (demand plan accuracy, stock cover, stock availability, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication
