Overview
Buildings and General Services (BGS) at the State of Vermont has an exciting opportunity with room for growth as a Custodian III. As part of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team you will work as part of a group and independently. This position serves the Capital District in Montpelier, which includes the State House and many historic buildings. This individual will need to be able to communicate with multiple levels of personalities within the complex. This is a lead position for custodial with a diverse group of individuals.
This is a full-time position, and the hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm. This position requires a valid driver\'s license and successful completion of a background check.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed during an assigned shift at one or more state owned or leased buildings. Cleaning work often involves addressing bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infections material. Incumbents must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Good physical condition and ability to climb ladders and lift weights of up to 50-lbs. is necessary. Overtime and evening work may be required.
