JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Mont Alto is accepting applications for a full-time certified Athletic Trainer. This is an 11-month appointment. The athletic trainer is responsible for providing medical services for 125+ student-athletes participating in a broad-based intercollegiate athletic program consisting of 9 varsity teams. This is an FTE position with full Penn State benefits

Job Responsibilities:

  • The prevention/recognition of athletic injuries, evaluation/care of athletic injuries, and rehabilitation/reconditioning of injured student-athletes.

  • F acilitate communication with the team doctor regarding the healthcare of student-athletes, and set up referrals and appointments.

  • Maintain proper medical records by all governing guidelines (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA, and University policies).

  • Complete appropriate paperwork including, but not limited to injury reports for departmental accountability.

  • Responsible for providing daily medical coverage of practices, home athletic competitions, and camps/clinics throughout the year.

  • O verseeing the management of the Fitness Center and conducting yearly inventories and ordering equipment/supplies.

Typical Education:

  • 1+ years of related experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Required Certifications, Registrations, or Licensure: BOC Certified Athletic Trainer; PA State Licensed Athletic Trainer; Certified Health Care Provider (CPR/AED)

This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$42,100.00 - $61,000.00
