GRAND COUNTY Summer Trails Technician (Part-Time, Seasonal) in MOAB, Utah
About the Position:
Grand County Active Transportation and Trails (GCATT) is currently looking for two Trail Specialists to perform a variety of duties related to trail maintenance. Essential functions of the position include reconstructing trail features such as switchbacks, tread repair and construction, and trail corridor clearing. Position includes intensive physical activity at up to 11,000 ft in the La Sal Mountains and camping in the La Sal National Forest. The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the position would have a background in trail work and/or experience with trail work on mountain biking trails, and experience working in a team setting.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent.
One year of directly related experience.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening
Pay & Hours:
Starting wage is $22.77/hour (Dependent on qualifications and experience.) This is a part-time seasonal position with 2-3 hours on Monday for rigging and field work on Tuesday-Thursday. Up to 2 nights of backcountry camping per week required (per diem compensation is provided). Duration of the position is two months, 8/1 through 9/29
