As our Cashier, you will help the Patient Access Department by receiving and disbursing money for services and preparing daily deposits. The cashier will count money, prepare deposits daily, receive payments via cash, credit, or check, and will issue receipts and change to customers. The cashier will need to reconcile all collections and deposits to ensure accuracy. Every day you will work in the Patient Access Department while working cross-functionally with cash posting, and local clinical departments. To thrive in this role, you need strong attention to detail, customer service experience, the ability to multi-task and navigate between multiple systems simultaneously while handling a large volume of patients.

Here is what you will experience working as a Cashier:

• Preparing daily deposits (scan and save copies of checks/documents to various folders on shared drive)

• Working depository envelopes and bags

• Taking payments from patients

• Sending receipts to patients for payments made by patients via the phone

• Taking and processing virtual payments in OneSource

• Assisting patients with billing questions

• Printing and mailing itemized statements for patients (requests are from the various collection agencies)

• Printing and mailing Itemized statements for attorney and affidavit requests

• Setting up employee deductions

• Printing and mailing or faxing itemized statements for various insurances they want to perform a charge audit

• Working with Ciox to coordinate ITZ statements with medical records requests

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $17.87 - $23.05 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
