Job Description

We are a specialty manufacturer of machinery primarily for the wire and cable industry. We handle the full design and building of products in-house. The Industrial Electrician will work as part of a team to install, test, and troubleshoot electrical wiring components, control devices, and related equipment in a manufacturing and machine building environment. This individual will need the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications for panel building and machine wiring.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring components, control devices, and equipment.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications for panel building and machine wiring.

• Work as part of a team to ensure accurate and efficient installation and maintenance of electrical systems.

• Utilize proficient soldering skills for wiring and troubleshooting purposes.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience wiring machinery and building control panels in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.

• Ability to install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring components, control devices, and equipment.

• Proficient soldering skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification 309A/442A (Nice to have)

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing plant with a family atmosphere. The company operates a custom shop with approximately 30 employees. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts. Overtime is available after 44 hours per week. The location is in Mississauga, and candidates must be willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
