Job Title: Materials Manager

Job Description

Seeking a seasoned Materials Manager to oversee all aspects of materials management including planning, inventory control, demand forecasting, and supplier management. The successful candidate will be pivotal in optimizing inventory levels, reducing costs, and ensuring the seamless availability of materials necessary for production or distribution. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and support company objectives.

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years of Materials Management/Supervision Experience with 5+ direct reports

  • Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)

  • Experience in customized, short-run manufacturing processes

  • Knowledgeable in ERP software

  • High School Diploma

Soft Skills

  • Ability to develop and implement inventory control strategies

  • Proficiency in analyzing historical data and market trends for demand forecasting

  • Strong leadership in managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment

  • Capability to ensure materials compliance with quality standards and regulations

Work Environment

Operate in a very clean, well-lit, and quiet manufacturing floor. Normal working hours are from 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm with flexibility on start time. Expect to work 45-50+ hours per week.
