ECMC Group Test Automation Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary: The Test Automation Engineer develops and implements automated test strategies, designs and executes automated test scripts, identifies and troubleshoots software defects, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and continuously improves testing processes. The Test Automation Engineer will work with and develop the automated testing framework which is based on Java, Playwright, and Cucumber. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works with development, product owners, program managers & business partners to determine optimal test coverage and ensure high quality software is delivered to the business. Defines, documents, and executes automation testing based on functional and technical requirements; automates projects with appropriate API and UI frameworks. Executes, updates, and creates automated test cases and test data to ensure business outcomes and technical requirements are met. Diagnoses automation failures; records and reports defects. Analyzes, prepares, interprets, and presents automation test results to stakeholders. Embraces agile practices to drive change and continuous improvement throughout the delivery process. Possesses basic knowledge of ECMC products to identify and implement effective automated test solutions. Assists in defining and applies QA and automation best practices. Understands automation team goals and roadmap; creates awareness cross functionally of automation's purpose and capabilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Associate degree; or one additional year of relevant IT experience in lieu of degree. 3 years of experience performing Quality Assurance automation testing activities. General knowledge of software testing. Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools. Experience collaborating with cross functional teams; including manual QA team members, IT and business teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Java and Git. Experience with Gherkin/Cucumber. Experience with JIRA/Confluence or similar tools. Experience with Agile Methodology. Experience with Test Management Tools.
