Quality Control Chemist Category: Scientific Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-374594 QC Chemist needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in Minneapolis, MN. This position is for a major food corporation, and the ideal candidate would be someone with a bachelor's degree in chemistry, food science, and a minimum of 2 years of chemistry lab experience. Shift: Flexible start/ end times, 8-4 or 9-5. Responsibilities 20% - Provide support to research scientists in the completion of research projects or activities, including analytical method validation. 60% - Conduct routine sample analysis, routine experiments, organizing and communicating results. 10% - Maintain laboratory equipment, and handling sample request. 10% - Ensure corporate EHS and Food Safety compliance. Required Bachelor's degree or higher in in Chemistry, Food Science, or related scientific fields. Minimum 2 years chemistry lab experience (higher education can substitute experience). Including experience with standard chemistry lab glassware and techniques. Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening). Effective organizational skills. Ability to work independently effectively and cooperatively in a team environment. Demonstrated willingness to learn. Attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Natural Product Chemistry, Food Science, or related scientific fields. Experience in an analytical laboratory or natural product research. Experience in food analysis. HPLC, UHPLC, and HPLC-MS experience. Opportunity is Calling, Apply Now!
