This new position will be focused on working collaboratively to support already established programming including the administration of required online training for incoming students as well as the development of new programs and strategies. This position will report to the Assistant Director. This is a 100%, 12-months, continuing Civil Service position (classification 8208A1, Admin Associate 1). JOB DUTIES: Development, Implementation, and Evaluation of Prevention Efforts Focused on Students (65%): Administration of required online sexual violence prevention training for all incoming students Lead management, facilitation, and continuous improvement of existing prevention programming focused on specific communities which may include but is not limited to: Prevention Advocates within the Fraternity and Sorority Community, Athletes Supporting Advocacy and Prevention within Athletics, and prevention programming within LGBTQIA+ Communities Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, supervising, and evaluating SMPP student staff Support development and implementation of additional prevention programming and strategies to best meet the needs of undergraduate students Community Engagement (25%): Develop and maintain collaborative working partnerships with students and staff Support the facilitation and coordination of the SMPP Student Advisory Committee Communicate proactively about the work of SMPP to stakeholders Participate on relevant committees and workgroups Serve as a key source of information for students and other community stakeholders regarding sexual misconduct prevention Administrative Support (10%): Assist Director and Assistant Director in administrative office duties Organization of office policies, procedures, files Coordination of meetings across stakeholder groups Other duties as needed WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week with occasional evening/weekend hours WORK MODE: Hybrid, some days in the office and some remote. PAY RANGE: $52,000-$55,000 Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in public health, sociology, gender studies, psychology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience to total 4 years Commitment to engaging in sexual misconduct prevention with an anti-oppression approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group facilitation experience Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results in a timely manner Ability and desire to work collaboratively as part of a team, and in partnership with diverse communities Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity, inclusion, and diversity Demonstrated experience in, and an ongoing commitment to, working effectively with and across diverse communities, including: people of color, underrepresented groups and new immigrant populations; American Indians; people with both visible and invisible disabilities; women; people of various gender and sexual identities and expressions; and first-generation students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds Occasional evening/weekend hours will be required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in public health, sociology, gender studies, psychology or a related field At least one year of experience with sexual misconduct prevention or response Experience working with young adults and/or college students Experience with evaluation and use of qualitative and quantitative data to guide programming About the Department The Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program (SMPP) is a systemwide office responsible for leading and coordinating th University's sexual misconduct prevention and response activities in partnership with University Stakeholders systemwide located within the Office for Equity and Diversity. SMPP is broadly responsible for supporting system-level, data-driven policymaking; supporting and developing sexual misconduct programming for students, staff, and faculty; convening stakeholders to facilitate critical collaborations for effective prevention and response; and monitoring and evaluating the University's sexual misconduct prevention, reduction, and response efforts and their effectiveness over time.
