Duties 100% Research: Routine tasks include preparation of research reagents, solutions and media. The employee will produce recombinant genes, perform cell culture, perform biochemical experiments and assays, and perform molecular and cellular biology experiments. The employee will be responsible for analyzing data and documenting their work in a laboratory notebook, and presenting and discussing their results at weekly lab meetings. Qualifications Required Qualifications Must Be Documented In Application Materials Required Qualifications: Experience in molecular and cellular biology laboratory techniques. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those with previous laboratory experience, especially in the areas of RNA biology and gene expression. About the Department The department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics is committed to understanding the molecular mechanisms of metabolic diseases and cancer; developing novel strategies in biocatalysis and biotechnology; and advancing knowledge through structural biology and molecular biophysics.We organize ourselves into research divisions with emphasis on Chemical and Structural Biology, Metabolic and Systems Biology, Molecular Biology and Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology.
