The ideal candidate is also expected to independently read about lab research projects, speak to lab members, ask questions, assist with basic research tasks, and eventually work on his/her own project (supported in part by UROP and/or as directed/honors research). He/she will report weekly progress to Dr. Harris and, once research begins, will be expected to present 3 times per year at lab meetings. Essential and Other Functions: 100 % perform lab assistance and administrative tasks Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience performing reagent preparation, waste autoclaving, stock organization, cleaning, database entry. Preferred Qualifications: n/a About the Department BMBB: The department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics is committed to understanding the molecular mechanisms of metabolic diseases and cancer; developing novel strategies in biocatalysis and biotechnology; and advancing knowledge through structural biology and molecular biophysics.
