Robert Half is partnering with a leading accounting firm in Minneapolis, MN, dedicated to providing exceptional financial services to our diverse clientele. We are seeking a dynamic and organized Catering/Events Specialist to join our team and help us deliver outstanding experiences for our clients and staff through meticulously planned events and catering services.

Position Summary: The Catering/Events Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events for the firm, ranging from client meetings and seminars to internal team-building activities and holiday parties. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Planning and Coordination:

• Plan and execute events, including client meetings, seminars, workshops, corporate gatherings, and internal events.

• Develop event concepts, themes, and agendas in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

• Coordinate with vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure all event logistics are managed efficiently.

• Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions.

• Catering Management:

• Oversee catering services for events, meetings, and office functions.

• Collaborate with catering providers to design menus that meet dietary preferences and restrictions.

• Ensure timely delivery and setup of food and beverage services.

• Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.

• Logistics and Administration:

• Handle event registrations, RSVPs, and attendee communications.

• Prepare event materials, including invitations, agendas, and presentations.

• Arrange transportation and accommodations for event attendees as needed.

• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

• Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients, guests, and staff throughout the event planning and execution process.

• Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during events promptly and professionally.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and catering management, preferably in a corporate environment.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

• Knowledge of local vendors, venues, and catering providers in Minneapolis is a plus.
