Metro Home Health Care Services Inc. seeks Data Analysts based in Minneapolis, MN. Full-time. Multiple openings available. Duties include: Analyze billing data, including data from payments, collections, and insurance reimbursements, using statistical software such as SQL and Python to identify billing data patterns and identify areas of revenue attrition due to improper billing codes; Apply algorithms to billing and client information datasets to forecast revenue, insurance claims acceptance, and trends in services used by clients; Summary data analysis findings into presentations and reports to management, including recommendations on procedures to optimize collections and ensure accurate diagnostic coding for services rendered; Design surveys, questionnaires, and other instruments to collect client data; Identify areas where raw data is not in alignment with predictive models, and review underlying medical documentation on any outlier data points to ensure that the diagnosis and procedure codes are accurate and compliant with coding guidelines; Apply algorithms and modeling tools to billing, collections, and reimbursement data to help identify missed billing opportunities, patterns of using inappropriate or inconsistent billing codes, and ineffective reimbursement strategies; Create a real-time data analytics dashboard that shows KPIs like claim acceptance rates and average reimbursement, and use the data to make recommendations for insurance claims processing to maximize acceptance rates; Create data visualization reports and interpret them to the team leader, such as Excel or Power BI, after each billing cycle; Present data findings to management and make recommendations on how to optimize revenue cycles and maximize revenue; and Make recommendations to management on data collection and storage processes, ensuring that data is optimized for use in analytics and is stored securely. Position requires Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a closely related field. Position also requires 6 months experience as a Data Analyst, Data Analyst Intern, or related, where such experience included working with SQL, Python, and R.
