The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer supports and grows our enterprise data and analytics environment. The BI Developer will serve as a member of the Enterprise Data and Analytics team. Ideal candidates will have excellent technical and interpersonal skills as well as a passion for the University's mission of research, education, and outreach. Responsibilities Application Development and Administration (75%) Oracle Analytics Cloud Repository (RPD) development using the BI Administration Tool, Catalog maintenance and migration, and OAC environment configuration & security. Design, write, test, debug and deploy code (Tableau, OAC and Informatica), primarily consisting of data warehouse and business intelligence content (e.g. facts/dimensions). Work with software administrators to install, configure, and troubleshoot our Oracle Analytics Cloud and Tableau environments. Gather and interpret system requirements and develop detailed system specifications. Determine appropriate testing methodology and ensure the execution of test plans. Project coordination and other duties as assigned (25%) Design and develop applications/systems that meet current and future business needs. Work within Agile Scrum product team, partnering with business resources and IT peers to develop data warehousing solutions for analytics and operational reporting. Evaluate, review and produce technical documentation to support development in a team-oriented environment. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience OR master's degree Experience with the administration of Oracle Analytics Cloud using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Experience with RPD Development in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or a similar tool with report modeling capabilities. Experience working with dimensionally and relationally modeled data. Experience supporting an enterprise reporting environment. Ability to analyze and create SQL code. Preferred Qualifications Cloud Management, Monitoring and Security. Experience with Oracle databases. Background in development using Web Services. Dashboard and report development in OAC. Experience developing in, configuring, and administering (includes site creation, server maintenance/upgrades/patches) Tableau servers. Familiarity with developing Python scripts. Experience with Linux server administration.
