Job ID346456 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilyAcademic Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code9403 Employee ClassInstr Fac/TC and Coord Cmp About the Job The Department of Medicine's Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota is searching for a Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Academic Clinical Track. The new hire will provide clinical care for patients with diabetes and/or other endocrine diseases in both the inpatient and outpatient services. The Endocrinologist will be an integral team member in the development and implementation of an Endocrinology service line in the M Health Fairview care system. The ultimate goal is to provide exceptional care for patients across the full continuum of health care settings in the system. This role will be starting mainly in the outpatient, clinical setting and will encompass a full spectrum of care, including, but not limited to: diagnosis and management of diabetes and osteoporosis as well as disorders of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and parathyroid glands. In collaboration with the system medical director and other system Endocrinology care leaders, these individuals will also be responsible for oversight and organization of the Endocrinology care program within the clinic while keeping the continuum of care progression at the forefront. In collaboration with administrative and clinical leaders, these individuals will also be responsible to assure implementation of best practice clinical standards. Additional opportunities for research and teaching may be available. Responsibilities: 85% Clinical * See patients at our outpatient clinic sites - M Health Fairview - Endocrinology Clinic (Fridley, Wyoming or other community locations) and M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC) - Minneapolis, 4 weeks/year of inpatient consulting services/attending 15% Academic/Education * Teaching/training fellows, Medicine residents and students. Qualifications Qualifications: Required Qualifications: * M.D. and Board Certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism * Demonstrated excellence in patient care. * Demonstrated enthusiasm for medical education and strong teaching skills. * Must have or be able to attain a medical license in the state of MN. * Must be able to pass credentialing at all applicable sites.
