The Opportunity

FCA is excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Families Count Program Coordinator. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a supervisory position in our Family Support division. This position will be based in Great Neck.

The ideal Families Count Program Coordinator will create a positive workplace culture, fostering employee development, and ensuring that employees are equipped with the skills needed to contribute effectively to FCA's success. This role requires a Master's degree in Social Work or related field.

Specifically, the responsibilities and qualifications of the position include:

Responsibilities

  • Engage families specifically in the Village of Hempstead, but extend to neighboring communities of Uniondale, Roosevelt, Westbury, Elmont, and Freeport.

  • Conduct community outreach when needed.

  • Devise unique strategies to engage at-risk families through family mediation, individual sessions and parenting groups.

  • Provide Active Parenting Classes (an evidence-based program) to families on a weekly basis.

  • Work collaboratively with other community-based organizations, Nassau County, Probation and other FCA programs including development and social media.

  • Ensure program operates in compliance with all contractual obligations and that all required paperwork, reports, and statistics are conducted, maintained, and submitted on time.

  • Provide weekly supervision to intern students

  • Participate in all mandatory trainings and any recommended as per contract.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited university

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in similar communities.

  • Must be familiar and comfortable with telehealth.

  • Ability to be flexible in hours and workloads as well as

  • Valid NYS Driver's License required.

Preferred:

  • Active Parenting Certification.

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish

  • SIFI Certification.

  • Supervisory experience.

Compensation Information

  • The competitive compensation range is reflected with FCA's framework, culture, and values. Individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience' while still allowing for growth.

Additional Information

  • $55,000-$60,000 (reflects experience)

  • Schedule: (M-F), evening and weekend hours as needed

  • This role is full-time (35 hours/week), Nonexempt.
