Position Title: Marketing Representative - Fine Writing

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Reports to: Marketing Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

• Lead the strategic planning and the execution to grow the brands (Parker and Waterman) with the support of the marketing manager.

• Execute wider tasks related to the product marketing and brand communications (optimization) with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

JOB DUTIES:

• Develop and execute product marketing plan and brand communication plan based on the market and consumer analysis.

• Develop, implement, and optimize brand communication strategy and EC (marketplace like Amazon/Rakuten) strategy.

• Initiate and lead local NPD projects as a champion to build stronger and relevant product portfolio.

• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and approval processes.

• Optimize brand and SKU mix matching category need and future new product pipelines in line with FW category trend.

• Determine product pricing: reviewing COGS and anticipating volume etc.

• Develop creative briefs and process with teams on developing packaging and consumer and trade materials.

• Work in close collaboration with sales to fully align sales and marketing strategies and executions.

• Develop EC strategy (product/promotion) to drive sell-out.

• Lead asset creation by collaboration with external agencies.

• Lead consumer research and analyze market data to correct the feedback from the shopper/user to determine new marketing and product opportunities.

• Monitor brand and product performance (sales, share, distribution etc.) and develop and lead necessary actions.

• Proactively make recommendations to deliver success and improve processes.

• Summarizes project results and utilizes in decision making and strategy development.

• Develop and oversee annual advertising and promotion budget.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree

• At least 5 years in Product development and brand marketing

• Experience to work at multi-national companies

• Project management with internal and external stakeholders

• Financial management (P&L, A&P budget etc.)

• Consumer goods industry

• Preferably luxury marketing experience

• Native level Japanese and fluent English (business level)
