RADYNE CORP Production Machinist Tool Room in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: In this role you will utilize manual lathes, mills, grinders (surface, OD/ID) as well as general hand tools to perform the steps necessary to modify or create components used to support production needs in an independent manner. General housekeeping of shop, work bench area and equipment. Responsibilities: Fabricate and repair tools, dies, and fixtures using hand tools and precision equipment. Interpret blueprints, sketches, and CAD files to determine specifications for tooling and machining. Take precision measurements and do calculations for tooling. Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, CNC machines. Ability to edit and program with G code. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling and make necessary adjustments or repairs. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tooling designs and improve manufacturing Preform work using various pieces of equipment (MasterCam X9 ; ProtoTrak mills; Okuma lathe; TREE 800 VMC Mill; ProtoTrak DPM2 3-axis bed mill, ProtoTrak K3 2-axis knee mill, table saws, band saws, shear, grinders, sanders, drill press, buffers) QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma, equivalent or GED required. A minimum of 2 years experience of tool & die, or 5+ years in precision machining environment. Journeyman/Tool and Die Maker Certificate is preferred, but not required. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments 9 calipers, gauges, and micrometers) Candidate must possess good math skills, ability to interpret blueprints and be motivated to support production needs in an efficient, timely manner.
