RADYNE CORP Induction Process Heat Treat Lab in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Induction Processes Lab Manager with a strong background in heat treating and metallurgical analysis to oversee our cutting-edge induction processes laboratory. A successful candidate will have experience conducting precision tests involving various heating applications, including (Heat-treating, Brazing, Soldering Annealing) as well as strong customer relations and team building experience. Responsibilities: Lab Management: Manage daily operations of the induction processes laboratory. Ensure that all inquiries made by sales, operations and customers are properly investigated and researched. Oversee all equipment calibration, and troubleshooting any technical issues. Manage all process development workflows. Act as an intermediary between the Lab and various stakeholders (operations, production, sales customers) Develop and implement standard operating procedures for induction heating test processes. Process Development: Conduct experiments and trials to optimize induction heating and melting processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality. Analyze data, interpret results, and make recommendations for process improvements. Collaborate with engineering and research teams to implement new technologies and techniques. Quality Control and Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency and reliability in induction heating and melting processes. Perform inspections, audits, and quality tests to verify adherence to specifications and standards. Investigate and resolve quality issues in collaboration with production and engineering teams. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of experiments, tests, and results. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory purposes. Communicate findings, project status, and recommendations effectively to management and relevant teams. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory or testing environment Proven experience in lab management, including equipment oversight, SOP development, and quality control. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and solve technical problems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Experience with metallurgical analysis techniques such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
